| TextEN | The Ukuru class ship Shiga served as an escort destroyer in WW2. Afterwards it had several tasks as Royal Navy transport, mine hunter and for the meteorological institute. Finally it was a training ship for the Japan coast guard, with the name PL-106 Kojima. After that it was an exhibition place in Chiba City. Scrapped in 1998. In this long career it was totally reconstructed. I did a reconstruction of the 1/700 Skywave Ukuru kit. | |
